Pieces of me in …. December

This month…

I like fresh snow sparkle, decadant chocolate, fingers that smell of freshly peeled citrus, my happy lights…still, browsing flickr to gain glimpses of creativity and a peek into other’s lives, my yummy lip balm from Jill at Jewel Alchemy, quiet time for tea, the moon peeking at me from high in the sky during the day, the kindness of strangers and even moreso the kindness of friends.

I do not like that empty pang I get sometimes from being so far away from loved ones, darkness at 4:30 pm, shovelling 12 inches of freshly sparkling snow, the fear that I will not do all that I want to.

I want you to know that life passes by quickly so relish every bite…even the bitter nibbles.

I’ve planned to take a break at Christmas and just be.

I want to say to someone special, thank you for believing in me.

Pieces of me in….November

I found out about this from Lisa at Sparkle is my Crack.  I was very inspired by it and went on over to the blogger who started this, The Tooth Fairy.  I try to live my life in the spirit of being all I can be, and a big part of that is changing for the better.  If you’d like to participate in the game, you can find more details here.

I did not add my name to the blogroll for the Tooth Fairy’s blog because this blog is centered around my business and I don’t think that is appropriate to the spirit of the game.  But I couldn’t help but share pieces of me with you.

This month…

I like my strings of white christmas lights dubbed my ‘happy lights’, snowflakes, my new laptop, reading makeup blogs, sharing a glass of red wine with someone I love, falling asleep to Harry Potter movies in bed, the colors red, gold, pink, and purple, different colored money,  finding inspiration in other people, cooking with my husband, the way he holds me all night.

I do not like being so far from my mom, my brother, and my furry children, trying to figure out how fast I am driving in MPH, figuring out what the temperature is in Fahrenheit, negative people, GAD, ferret bites, beets (and they are so pretty too), jitters from yet again too much coffee.

I want you to know that everyone is beautiful.  Our differences are what make us so.

I’ve planned to live each day to the fullest and focus on the beauty and wonder in life.

I want to say to someone special, thank you for loving me so bravely and completely.  It’s everything to me.
