Since about ten years old, I’ve been fascinated, enthralled, enticed, and totally addicted to makeup.

At age fifteen I was giving makeup advice to my mom and her friends. 

I usually used drug-store brands because that was all I could afford.  And back in those days, they weren’t as high quality as they are now.  L’oreal was top of the line with Revlon a close second…so those are what I used.

Then, in my twenties I had a steady income and found MAC.  It was love.  I loved the creative artists that transformed my face into a canvas.  Their products were so pigmented and they had the variety I craved for self-expression.  The only draw back to my MAC love was that their makeup made my face break out terribly and their eyeshadow burned and irritated my eyes.  I kept using though, knowing I would ‘get used to it’.   But I never did.

In my thirties I found mineral makeup.  I tried the big brands and I tried the little brands.  I found that mineral foundation was perfect for my finicky skin.  Up until this point, most foundations broke me out.  I wasn’t happy with the sheer coverage of most mineral foundations or the ‘dry’ powdery finish, so I bounced from brand to brand to find one that totally satisfied me. 

That’s when I found out that small independent cosmetic companies were micro-formulating their own mineral blends and selling them online.  And that is when I fell in love with mineral makeup. These small companies poured their hearts and souls into their products.  Their products were 95-100% natural.  Their eyeshadow didn’t sting my eyes.  Their foundations were dreamy.  I was a total convert.  Mineral makeup was now my passion.  But I missed the creativity that MAC cosmetics inspired.

That is when I started considering forming my own cosmetic line.  I wanted the best of both worlds.  Natural and healthy makeup that was also FUN and colorful.  Makeup that matched or exceeded the quality of the big name brands but offered something they couldn’t.  Products made with care, consideration, and the passion that stirs souls.

So Stardust Cosmetics was born.  I wear my makeup proudly.  I often get asked if it is MAC when I am out and about.  And that’s when I say no, it’s better.

I look forward to becoming a pioneer in the makeup world.  To share my passion and creativity with my customers.  And I hope I can make women see that they are magical, with or without makeup.
